Mr. Hiroshi KAWAMURA was born in 1964.

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 1986.

He is the Consul-General of Japan in San Francisco from September 2021.

In Tokyo, he served as
Director of Policy Planning Division, Foreign Policy Bureau,
Director of European Policy Division, European Affairs Bureau,
Counsellor for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Secretariat and
Deputy Assistant Minister, European Affairs Bureau.

He also engaged in several overseas mission ;
Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of Japan in Singapore,
Consul-General and Minister, Embassy of Japan in the United Kingdom,
Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister, Embassy of Japan in France.

Prior to serving here, he was the Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister, Embassy of Japan in Thailand.
