Kazunori TANIZAWA, joined JCR Pharmaceuticals in 2001 as a member of orphan drug development team which eventually led him to engage in the field of lysosomal storage disorders (LSD). Appointed Executive Director of Development Division in 2019, he oversees multiple LSD programs under development for Japan and beyond. Throughout his 20+ years in the pharma industry, interactions with patient advocacy groups and key opinion leaders around the globe drive him to pursue development for new treatment options to address unmet medical needs. “Togetherness” is his commitment.

He graduated from Okayama University, Japan with a master’s degree in Biology.
